Overview
This full-day tour offers a well-paced and comprehensive experience of the Ephesus region, starting and ending at your hotel in Izmir. Your day begins with hotel pick-up from Izmir in the morning at 07:30. After meeting your guide, you will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle toward Selcuk, enjoying views of the Aegean countryside along the way.
House of Virgin Mary
The first visit is to the House of Virgin Mary, located on Mount Bulbul. This sacred site is believed to be the final residence of the Virgin Mary and is an important pilgrimage destination for Christians and Muslims alike. You will have time to explore the chapel, learn about its religious significance, and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings.
Ephesus Ancient City
Afterwards, continue to the magnificent Ephesus Ancient City, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During a guided walk through the ruins, you will discover how life once unfolded in this great Roman city. Highlights include the Library of Celsus, the Grand Theater, Curetes Street, marble roads, Roman baths, fountains, and ancient marketplaces. Temple of Artemis
After lunch, visit the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although only a few remains are visible today, your guide will explain the temple’s original scale, importance, and role in ancient history.
Sirince Village
The final stop of the tour is Sirince, a charming hillside village known for its traditional houses, narrow streets, and local products. You will have free time to stroll through the village, browse small shops, taste local fruit wines, or relax at a café.
At the end of the tour, you will be comfortably dropped off at your hotel in Izmir in the late afternoon or early evening.
